Today’s podcast is a replay all about why you struggle in leadership roles and it’s taken from our most recent series of 21 lessons in leadership we did over the summer.
In today's discussion we will be covering the top reason you struggle in leadership. You probably are going to think it has to do with your team, or your own leaders, or everything else you can’t control… but the thing is… the number one reason you struggle with leadership is due to your mindset. Failure to approach the work you do with a good mindset is a guaranteed marker that you will hardly ever achieve long term success. Good leaders can develop crappy mindsets at any time and oftentimes they creep in on you insidiously, so let’s take a deeper look at how your poor mindset is the top reason you struggle in leadership.
On August 28th, I’ll be holding a free class focused on Overcoming Imposter Syndrome.
I’m tired of watching careers and therefore healthcare suffer because we have talented people that won’t pursue promotion or contribute to improving healthcare in powerful ways because anxiety, self doubt, and fear get in the way of some of our best talent in healthcare stepping up and stepping out.
You don’t know how many times I run into leaders in healthcare and aspiring leaders that hold themselves back and try not to stand out because they don’t believe in themselves even though they’ve proven themselves to be worthy.
If you can relate or you know someone in healthcare that struggles with this, I wanted to spread the word that on Aug 28th, I will be holding a totally free class to teach everything I’ve learned to combat this feeling that we call Imposter Syndrome.
